Creartion of FENIXAR

The Creation of Fenixar: From Ashes to Song

For decades I told stories through film, law, and poetry — restoring silent classics, recreating history, and capturing raw human moments. Then life delivered its hardest chapter: the loss of my eldest son Wyatt at 23 to Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Out of that profound grief came a quiet but insistent urge to create again — not to escape the pain, but to transform it. That urge became Fenixar.

Named for the phoenix (rebirth from ashes) and the star (light in darkness), Fenixar is my cinematic indie music project with my son Dylan James Keeley as principal musician. It blends atmospheric alt-pop, poetic lyrics, and emotionally charged soundscapes to explore karma, regret, redemption, and the hard-won beauty of rising again.

The debut single “Karmic Debts” asks what price we pay for the choices we make. “Soft Comes The Dawn” and its companion “Shine On Me” celebrate the soulmate who brings light where none existed before. Upcoming “Black Dog” confronts depression head-on, inspired by Winston Churchill’s own metaphor for his inner struggles.

Fenixar is not just music — it’s a continuation of a lifetime of storytelling, now set to melody. It honors Wyatt’s memory while proving that even after the darkest night, the dawn can still arrive.

Thank you for joining this journey. I hope these songs find you exactly when you need them.
